Proceedings of the Apollo 11 Lunar Science Conference Continued by. Abstract. A primary source for the physical and chemical properties of the Moon and its environment was written and edited by Heiken et al. . The lunar physical environment is dramatically different than that of the Earth [2, 3].
The third part is concen trated on magnetosphere, with the measurements on trapped radiation from natural sources and high altitude thermonuclear explosions, and particularly with the magnetopause.
The fourth and last part includes the ring current, geomagnetic storms, the aurora, the ionosphere and lunar surface phenomena.
